Tropical Food Fish hatchery, Singapore
History
2000. Llyn Aquaculture Ltd was contracted by AkvaPlan Niva of Norway to design all the recirculation systems for the Larval rearing, weaning, Nursery stages of the hatchery for the Singapore Government.Then the job to supply and install went out to tender and was won by a Singapore company EU Wagner-Biro. They then engaged Llyn Aquaculture to be their consultants to oversee the installation and construction and to source all the appropriate equipmment. Llyn Aqua were involved for almost 2 years including many extended site visits during the design and construction phase.
The hatchery was designed as an R & D facility, capable of producing several million marine fish fingerlings to develop aquaculture in the region.

Caranx sexfasciatus - Big-eye trevally
Trachinotus blochii - Pompano or snub-nosed dart
Platax teira - Round-faced Batfish
Rachycentron canadum - Cobia or black kingfish
Epinephelus lanceolatus - Giant grouper
Cromileptis altivelis - Polka-dot grouper
Lobotes surinamensis - Triple tail
Lutjanus erythropterus - Crimson snapper
